PNW Components Loam Stem review
The Loam Stem from PNW Components is the brand’s premium option that features bold colours and top-level CNC machining. In practice, it does its job incredibly well with plenty of markings to make it easy to set up and excellent looks. At this price, it’s rubbing shoulders with some lighter contenders but it’s modern, well designed and certainly one of the best MTB stems.
Trickstuff Power brake pad and Heavy Duty rotor review
Trickstuff is best known for its pricey but mega-extravagant braking systems that claim serious performance benefits. However, in an interesting curveball, the brand’s rotors and brake pads aren’t nearly as spendy, and they bring the feel and many of the performance of its braking systems to a much more achievable price and a wide range of brake types.
Dangerholm's Solace Wasteland is the coolest e-gravel bike we've seen
Imagine it, a post-apocalyptic world scarce of fuel and pretty much anything else for that matter, its inhabitants would likely turn to bikes, right? Scott's leopard-print lycra-wearing, bike-tinkering supremo Dangerholm, has taken that Mad Max aesthetic and applied it to the Solace eRide. Yes, it's an e-bike, so we don't know how it could be charged in the wasteland, but it's the maddest and coolest gravel bike we've seen.
Fox Racing Defend Thermo glove review
The Fox Racing Defend Thermo gloves are lightly insulated and a near-perfect match for deep winter conditions, with neat features its rivals lack. They're not bad value for money either.
Deity Flat Trak flat pedal review
The Flat Trak is one of Deity’s latest pedals, and it’s designed to cater to those who don’t dig deep concaves. Instead, it lives up to its name with a flat profile that boosts pedal feel and support, all while reaping the rewards of several classic Deity hallmarks. Grip is as plentiful as support, which brings durability in spades. It's a great-looking pedal, too. While it's pricey, Deity has achieved flat pedal perfection and it’s well worth the extra spend.
Hunt's Proven Trail wheelset employ H_Core technology
Hunt's Proven range has quickly set a benchmark for high-performance carbon wheelsets with affordable price points – and has now filled the rather stark gap for a trail-specific carbon wheelset. Say hello to the Proven Carbon Trail wheels. Not only does the new wheelset inherit features found on its Enduro-flavoured sibling but gets front- and rear-specific tunes and spoke configurations. Here are all of the details.
Silt Enduro Alloy wheelset review
While simple in name and construction, Silt’s Enduro Alloy wheelset punches well above its weight, providing superb performance for less than many of its rivals. It’s reliable and strong, blending a somewhat compliant ride character – and it’s not all that heavy. However, it would benefit from improved sealing around the freehub to reduce maintenance even further.
EVOC Hydro Pro 1.5L + 1.5L Hydration bladder backpack review
The smallest pack in EVOC’s Hydro Pro range, the Hydro Pro 1.5l hydration pack, is all about upping fluid-carrying capacity while boasting extra space for only the bare essentials. Whether used as part of a bikepacking setup or to carry water during shorter rides, this pack is stable, comfortable, and surprisingly roomy. However, its form-fitting build can get warm and it would be great to see a little more organisation in its main compartment.
Fox lifts the lid off its new Speedframe helmet
Fox Racing's Speedframe helmet has become super popular among riders but it's safe to say that it's got a little long in the tooth. As a result of the brand's constant tweaking and pursuit of improvement, Fox has teased some information on the latest version of its beloved trail helmet. Here's what we know.
Wolf Tooth Components EnCase System Pump 40cc + Allen Hex Bit Wrench Multi-Tool pump review
Small but mighty? Wolf Tooth Components’ EnCase System Pump 40cc is the next step in Wolf Tooth’s hidden multi-tool story. As expected of the brand, it’s built to only the highest quality, and integrated tool storage is always a plus. It’s compact, too, so it’s primed to fit in even the fullest of backpacks or make a small footprint on your bike’s accessory mount. Although with such a small size, the lack of efficiency leaves much to be desired.
