Vittoria has released a new tubeless sealant that claims to offer sealing for large holes and work on road and mountain bikes. During testing, it has proved very effective and has not dried out.

The RRP ProGuard is a front mudguard that straps directly onto the fork legs and arch, fitting almost all suspension forks. It offers impressive performance, minimising spray heading in front or upwards of the front wheel while riding. The guard is attached with zip ties, but there is potential for them to mark the fork.

The Scorpion XC H is aimed at fast, dry conditions featuring a low-profile tread pattern with an unusually strong and durable casing for a cross country focussed tyre. It offers a limited amount of grip when things do get damp and slippery but they remain controllable enough not to be too scary.

A drybag is a simple product yet Wildcat have created something that stands out from others with an ability to keep contents separate within a single bag. It is easy to use and very well constructed but costs more than most drybags and extra material means extra weight.

The Vitus Rapide FS CR is a new cross-country focused bike, with the CR being the lower of two models in the range, retailing at £2,499. It delivers impressive performance with geometry that makes it fun and capable downhill while still being quick uphill. The component selection also helps to keep the overall weight competitive. There are a couple of components equipped that prevent it from being perfect. Still, it offers excellent value with performance a match for bikes twice the price.
