New stuff in through the door this week is pretty varied, we've got more winter boots from Fixik to keep our toes toasty, a very smart looking gravel bike from Vielo, new cheaper Halo wheels, a smart pump fro Silca and a handy way to re-inflate tubless tyres on the go from MilKit. Ok, so the eagle-eyed amongst you might realise this is actually 'four cool things' this week but if you count the fact that the MilKit Booster has two used it's five...... I'm sorry.

Although we have our off-road.cc Best Bike Awards that rounds up a year's worth of testing pretty well we thought we'd take a look at the 'most read' bike review articles to see what you, our lovely reader base, liked reading about this year. The new Pinnacle Arkose from Evans Cycles builds on the popularity of the reliable commuter and gravel bike, introducing more models to the range making it one of the most versatile bikes we've seen. From road riding, to commuting, to taking on off-road adventures the new 2019 Arkose is a reasonably priced bike that really could be one that 'does-it-all'. 

Halo Wheels say they have the answer for mountain bikers on a budget, today launching a 27.5" trail wheelset that is decently wide for just £240. The Ridge Line wheels look bang up to date and low on price too. 

Vielo is a relatively new brand, founded in 2017 and producing the V+1, an 'all-road' bike designed for British roads and British riding conditions by a father and son with over 35 years of experience in the cycling industry. Now they introduce the V+1 Rival, a cheaper option to the 5K option, we take a first look here before handing it over for review on road.cc.

We've got a hoard of new gravel bikes in for test so we've been letting them out of the bag slowly! This week we've got the Vielo V+1 Rival, the new alloy Canyon Grail plus the new degreaser from Guy Martin Proper and some well priced kit from Bell and Tifosi. 

DMR Deathgrips handlebar grips are the product of a collaboration with DMR and Brendan Fairclough. We tested a thin version of the super soft, flangeless ‘Race Day’ edition which proved to be super grippy and comfortable but a little bit delicate to knocks and bumps.

The USE Exposure Diablo Mk10 is a superb helmet mounted mountain bike light. It’s light, it's powerful, it has lots of pre-set modes to choose from and it also includes clever TAP technology. There’s lots to like and it’s our favourite helmet mounted front light to date.
