Pioneering eco-friendly product aims to clean up oceans as RideGuard continue their mission to protect our planet from plastic pollution. The British brand commits to producing its latest range of mudguards from 100% recycled fishing nets. There's front and rear OceanX mudguard for both mountain bikes and road bikes and a Kickstarter campaign to get the whole thing launched. 

The Cube Performance women's long-finger mountain bike gloves are a stretchy and comfy pair that work well on hotter days as well as the cooler ones of autumn. The cuff could be longer and they're pretty hard to track down to buy, but these are the only complaints. 

Mountain Mayhem returned with a bang this year after a hiatus year in 2018.  The new venue was warmly received and 974 entrants and almost 4000 visitors enjoyed family-friendly festival atmosphere during the 24 hour cross country mountain bike race. 2020 sees new race categories including a brand new night only race. 

The Liv Brava SLR is the women's specific cyclocross and gravel bike from the Giant ladies only brand. This 'one-bike-does-all' aluminium off-road model is built to be versatile to allow female riders to go anywhere the like and as fast as they like. 

The Cube AM women's round neck jersey is a stylish long sleeve top that's super soft and comfy against the skin, yet relatively robust too. It's a massive leap in the right direction for the bike brand – subtly branded and not lacking in the performance department. 

Last week was a week full of gravel bikes so we've tried to keep up the momentum this week, getting more mountain bikes in and out to their test riders. There is a new Giant Trance 29er and a kids Merida ready to be put through the wringer soon. We've also got the new Hurly Burly downhill book for 2019 and two cool tools from Lezyne.

From the end of last week the way you log in to road.cc (and to all the road.cc family of websites) has changed, as we’ve added a new feature - Single Sign On. 

Giant gave us a 29er option in the Trance range in August of last year and we've been keen to have a ride ever since. The 2020 trail bike three price options that are both aluminium and sport the big wheels, it's the bottom of the range bike we have here, the Trance 29 3 costing £2,099, will it prove to be the trail boss Giant says it is? 

Marin has just launched a new carbon Rift Zone and seeing as we were big fans of the alloy version, we were dead keen to get some more information. The carbon version sports identical geometry and comes in pricier spec configurations than other alloy options.
