Mountain bike footwear specialist Ride Concepts launches first ever helmets, one for enduro and one for trail and XC riding
The Mips-equipped Dissent and Deploy helmets mark a new direction for Ride Concepts, the brand saying its new lids are "overbuilt in the best way possible"

Best known for its footwear, Ride Concepts has expanded into the helmet game with two models, the Dissent and the Deploy. Both are open-face helmets, but each gets its own design intention, with the former being built for enduro, all-mountain, and gravity riding, and the latter targeting trail and cross-country riders.

Claimed to be "overbuilt in the best way possible", the Dissent brings a tough four-piece shell and extended coverage to enduro and gravity riders. The brand says that this helmet's ventilation is oversized and that it is goggle-friendly.

That four-piece shell contains in-mold EPS as well as Mips' Evolve Core rotational impact management. Cut into that shell are 15 vents as well as internal channeling to help guide air over and around the head for cooling. The X-Static XT2 comfort padding is then built with fancy silver threads, which are said to provide anti-odor properties.
Delivering fit adjustment is an FS6 Shell-Integrated fit system. There's also an adjustable visor and a Fidlock magnetic buckle.
Ride Concepts claims that the helmet weighs 420g. Not the lightest around, but it's certainly no brute.

The Deploy carries a lower weight of a claimed 400g, and it uses a three-piece shell technology as well as an in-mold EPS foam. It gets the same Mips protection as its burlier range-mate, but it uses what Ride Concepts calls 'Flow-Thru' ventilation. This uses 16 vents for cooling. This lid gets an FS2 fit system, which isn't integrated into the shell.
We don't have GBP prices just yet, but expect the Dissent to be priced at €190 and the Deploy to be €140 (approximately £160 and £118 respectively).
