Promising 800 hours of battery life, 4iiii unveils Precision power meters for Shimano XTR Di2 cranks

When it comes to top-level racing, gauging fitness, or looking to improve the general mountain biking experience, power meters are a seriously important tool. Without Shimano releasing a specific meter with its recently launched XTR Di2 drivetrain, 4iiii has stepped up to the plate, bringing its established Precision 3+ and Precision 3+ Pro to the most highly anticipated drivetrain we've seen for a while.

With its new Precision 3+ and Precision 3+ Pro power meters, 4iiii isn't just bringing a power meter that's compatible with the latest in Shimano kit, but the brand has also introduced an all-new design. With that, there's a new 'user-friendly' battery cap that's been engineered to comply with new safety laws, but the new power meters claim improved durability, and the Precision 3+ is said to provide +/- 1% accuracy, thanks to 3D strain gauge tech.
That's on top of a claimed 800-hour battery life as well as the integration of Apple's Find My function.
Although 4iiii plans to offer Ride Ready options of its power meters to the market, at the moment, they're both available through the brand's Factory Install process, where customers measure the clearance of their cranks to the frame before sending the crankset to 4iiii for the fitment of the power meter. Expect the turnaround to be about three weeks.
4iiii's Shimano XTR M9200 compatible single-side Precision 3+ and dual-side Precision 3+ Pro power meters can be picked up from £340. That is only through the brand's Canadian store and will set you back $450 CAD, which converts roughly to £243.

It's just pronounced four eyes.
I've often wondered do you pronounce 4iii like Ali G would?
