With signs of lockdown around the world easing, the reality of cycling events starting up is still a way off. To inspire and motivate riders around the world, the founders of endurance sports TV are releasing thousands of hours of event coverage and documentaries for free.

Joining the string of test bikes that cost less than £2,000 is the Merida One-Forty 600. The 27.5", alloy, 140mm full suspension bike gets the lowest price tag in the One-Forty range and a smattering of what looks like good spec choices. SR Suntour has just launched a new gravel suspension fork, it's called the GVX and it'll give you 40-60mm of squish at the front end of you gravel or adventure drop bar bike. All the details of the tuneable short travel fork for 700c and 650B wheels are here.

Excellent value, robust and not too heavy, the RaceFace Aeffect direct-mount crankset is a great choice of replacement crank. It's tough, looks good and is well-priced as an entry-level upgrade, although its heft makes it better for trail and enduro riders than cross-country weight weenies.

The Pearl Izumi women's X-ALP Launch SPD shoe is a skate-style shoe for clipless mountain bike riding. It's relatively light for a trail shoe and looks cool, but ultimately it feels flimsy, sub-par for performance and – on long rides – uncomfortable.

News has just been released on the 'Ard Rock Instagram page that the 2020 edition of the enduro festival will be cancelled. The global Coronavirus pandemic has meant it has been impossible for the organisers to plan and carry out the event in such uncertain times.
