Timber! Mountain Bike Bell V4 review
The Timber Mountain Bike Bell V4 is designed to chime with the motion of the trail. It does an excellent job with a loud and crisp ring which certainly grabs attention. The build quality is top-notch and the lever operation feels sturdy but it is on pricier side of the best bike bell spectrum - it also doesn't work as well on smoother trails as it does on rougher terrain.
YT Industries Jeffsy 29 Core 3 review
The YT Jeffsy 29 Core 3 is a very capable all-mountain bike which can handle the rough stuff but is equally at home on flow trails and jumps. While the specification list is solid for the money, it's worth paying extra attention to frame sizing and geometry to get the ride you want. With a longer dropper and some tougher tyres this bike has what it takes to be a real challenger when it comes to the best mountain bikes.
Lizard Skins Strata single clamp lock-on grip review
The Lizards Skins Strata grips perform admirably but the price tag is a little steep. They are on the fatter end of the best MTB grips market, providing comfortable and no-frills performance. Worth a look if you don't mind the price.
Forme Black Rocks HT1
The Forme Black Rocks HT1 is an excellent entry point to mountain biking. The geometry gives a solid base to work from with great handling and stability while the budget-conscious specification is reliable leaving room to upgrade in the future. With some aftermarket chain protection and a clutch-actuated rear mech, this bike will not hold you back out on the trails.
Specialized Demo Pant review
The Specialized Demo pant is a lightweight but tough pair of mountain bike trousers that are comfortable, well-fitting and sensibly priced. With their subtle looks, they provide breathable coverage which is well suited for autumnal and spring conditions - making them a worthy consideration among the best MTB pants.
Ragley Mmmbop 1.0 review
Ragley’s Mmmbop is a burly 150mm hardtail with some serious descending capabilities. The spec is well thought out and attractively priced for the performance on offer. It’s a hoot on the downs although the climbing abilities have been sacrificed somewhat in the pursuit of a lively and playful bike. Read on to see how it rates among the best hardtail mountain bikes.
Syncros Boundary 1.0SH Digital Shock pump review
Syncros has redesigned its digital shock pump, making it smaller and lighter. The pump is easy to use and small enough to carry in a backpack. This is a fuss-free, precise shock pump. Plus, it is easy to use and good value.
Scott Tago Plus helmet review
The Scott Tago Plus helmet is a great trail helmet with lightweight and airy properties. The Mips system along with plenty of coverage makes for a confidence-inspiring helmet that is very comfortable to wear. It comes in a wide range of sizes and styles, and despite the lack of visor adjustability, it's a worthy consideration for anyone looking to get one of the best mountain bike helmets.
Yeti SB140 LR T1 review
The updates to the Yeti SB140 have brought the geometry right up to date and made maintaining it easy with a trustworthy build specification. The bar height is a little too low for my liking and it can't be labelled as "good value for money" but it sure is a solid and reliable trail bike if your pockets can take the hit.
Specialized Trail SWAT Jacket Review
The Specialized Trail SWAT jacket is a slim-fitting, lightweight windbreaker that packs down into a small package. The material isn’t very breathable and isn’t waterproof so it's not really one of the best MTB jackets in that regard, but it offers good protection from the cold in an easy-to-remove layer.
